What is an EPC
Energy Performance Certificates.
European Union legislation requires an EPC for any property that is being made available for sale or for rent.
The EPC contains advice and recommendations on how to cut carbon emissions and your fuel bills.
The report will show you how energy efficient a home is on a scale of G1 to A100. The most efficient , which should have the lowest fuel bills, are in band A. The certificate will also show on a similar scale the environmental impact the property has on the environment eg the better rated homes will have a lower impact through its carbon emissions.

You can significantly reduce your fuel bills and therefore your carbon footprint by simply following the following easy and cheap steps :
Increase the insulation levels to your loft and hot water tank and check to see if your cavity walls can be filled.
Turn your room thermostat down by 1 degree, and reduce your hot water temperature to 60 degrees.
Change all your light bulbs to energy saving bulbs
